Director Sterling Evolution
Lorraine Morton is a detail-oriented, critical thinker who worked with the Virgin Islands Government a little more than thirty years. Her professional experience includes Project Management, Training and Communications/Public Relations. In her most recent position with the Government Employees’ Retirement System, she served on the Senior Management team as the Public Information Officer and Director of Communication and Member Education and had management oversight of the Customer Service division.
Throughout her career, Lorraine experienced many “firsts” in the way of positions she held and newly initiated member programs. Some of her key accomplishments in these areas includes the development of a comprehensive retirement planning program; an organizational PR rebranding initiative; development and implementation of interpersonal and career development training program for new/young government hires; development of an employee discount program and being a key player in the establishment of a new Customer Service division. Lorraine formed lasting relationships with local and federal partners and private sector entities to execute such programs and to ensure their success.
Lorraine’s educational background includes a BA in Mass Communications from Bowie State University, a Graduate Certificate in Communications from Walden University, and several training certificates. She has established herself as a Communication professional and is a dynamic leader and team player with exceptional communications skills. She is intentional, focused and always equal to the task.
