Leroy A.E. Abraham is a result-focused and seasoned Director/Chief Executive Officer with over 30 years’ experience in electric utility leadership and corporate directorship. In the constantly transformative electric utility business, he has distinguished himself as being an inspirational leader who takes a vision and makes it a reality through sound strategic development.
Currently as General Manager/CEO at the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC), the sole producer and distributor of electrical energy in the British Virgin Islands, Leroy exhibits sound knowledge in good corporate governance by ensuring best business practices, financial soundness and resilience of BVIEC.
Leroy holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston Massachusetts. He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology in the United Kingdom. He serves on several Boards of Directors including the BVI Electricity Corporation, and is the Chairman of the Board of the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation – CARILEC. During his tenure, he has received numerous awards for his stellar service.
